The most popular articles that I’ve published are about facial bone maintenance and rejuvenation. Bone maintenance is an important lifelong endeavor for optimal health. Facial bone maintenance may help retain facial characteristics over time. Facial bone loss is well documented and is the culprit behind my pesky eye wrinkles as a result of orbital bone loss. No lotion or cream will eliminate skin wrinkles that are due to bone loss. Fillers? Hard pass. Wolf’s Law describes the potential to build bone but to do so, the body needs the right ingredients to support bone formation or ossification. Bone remodeling requires a healthy biochemistry to support regeneration. Early research shows that creatine is beneficial for skin AND bone health.
Good Bye 2022 - Hello 2023 DIY Skin Care Plan by Deborah Tosline
Life’s challenging. As we work hard to meet responsibilities, achieve goals and plan futures, it’s easy to forget about simple mindless low-cost beneficial pleasures. I began my Do-It-Yourself (DIY) skin care journey about 40 years ago while struggling through college. On Saturdays, I slathered plain yogurt on my face and neck, followed by honey, followed by avocado for an hour at a time while I cleaned, organized and studied. I remember it as a mindless action that was telling. I don’t remember what prompted me but I’ve pursued a continuous DIY skin care hobby throughout my life.

Hello Old Friend, FlexEffect Facialbuilding® Exercises by Deborah Tosline
Today I write about the facial exercise program that I began using in 2002 at 43 and continue to use today at 60. In my mind, maintaining overall health and fitness with strength training, stretching, and massage is beneficial for all soft tissue including the skin, fascia, and muscles and the bones of the face. I had originally found facial exercise books at used book stores and at the library. Later, I found Deb Crowley and the FlexEffect (FE) Facial Resistance Training program on the Internet and knew that I had found what I was looking for.

Remodel Facial Fascia and Muscle Indentations beneath Deep Wrinkles with a Gua Sha Tool and Support Lymphatic Flow by Deborah Tosline
I began using the Gua Sha tool to release tight facial fascia and muscles. While scraping the Gua Sha over deep wrinkles, I felt indentations in the deep tissue beneath the wrinkles. This affirmed my belief that facial fascia and muscles must be smoothed and strengthened or it will be difficult to smooth the overlying skin.

Natural Methods to Smooth Forehead Muscles for Results that Look and Feel Amazing by Deborah Tosline
Determined to naturally smooth my forehead, I developed an evolving routine to smooth the muscles and overlying skin. The routine has a forehead focus combining several practices and expanding on techniques developed by Sanford Bennett (1841-1926) who, I’ve mentioned before, remodeled his entire body.
