What Motivates Your Skin Care Practices? By Deborah Tosline

The “best laid plans go astray” is a quote from Robert Burns book “To a Mouse” written in 1786. This quote alludes to the fact that no matter how well you prepare, your plans may not succeed. Have you made skin care plans and purchases and not met your skin care goals? The book titled, “Motivational Interviewing” written by William R. Miller and Stephen Rollnick suggests a step-by-step process that includes engaging, focusing, evoking, and planning to promote self-efficacy during coaching. It may be possible to develop a self-motivating approach based on motivational interviewing (MI) processes to help you achieve your goals.

Hello Old Friend, FlexEffect Facialbuilding® Exercises by Deborah Tosline

Today I write about the facial exercise program that I began using in 2002 at 43 and continue to use today at 60. In my mind, maintaining overall health and fitness with strength training, stretching, and massage is beneficial for all soft tissue including the skin, fascia, and muscles and the bones of the face. I had originally found facial exercise books at used book stores and at the library. Later, I found Deb Crowley and the FlexEffect (FE) Facial Resistance Training program on the Internet and knew that I had found what I was looking for.

Build Facial Bone Strength and Maintain Your Facial Profile and Contours by Deborah Tosline

While we slather serums, lotions, and creams on our skin and make time for special facial treatments the skull, the underlying foundation for our facial skin, is losing density and shrinking over time. As the skeletal foundation shrinks the muscles and skin that are draped over the skull slowly begin to sag and droop without adequate support. To maintain your facial contours and firmer skin it is vital to maintain facial bone strength.
